If your child has been identified as someone who has a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19, was in close contact with a person with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 or is showing any symptoms associated with COVID-19, they must quarantine from any CYSL activities (ie. practices, games) for 7-10 days. While we understand that this is a hardship for many, it helps to ensure that no further transmission of COVID-19 will occur. They may continue to return to CYSL activities after the quarantine period so long as they have not developed any symptoms or tested positive.

Symptoms of COVID-19 can include:

● Cough

● Fever (100.4 F or greater)

● Shortness of breath

● Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea

● Body aches

● Headache

● Sore throat

● Sneezing

● Runny nose

● New loss of taste or smell

Hello Soccer Families,

Thanks for your patience. As you can imagine this year is unusual and tough to get organized. We’ve had a full year without soccer and things are taking longer than normal.

If you are getting this email your player has been assigned to a team. We have about half of our coaches set up with background and live scan checks as well as the required SafeSport and Safety trainings. Coaches who have completed these requirements have received their player contact information and either have or will be reaching out soon. We hope to have the rest of the coaches’ requirements done by the end of this week.

Games for all players will start the weekend of September 11 and 12. U6 and U8 games will take place on Saturday mornings with start times at 9:30 for U6 and 10:30 and 11:30 for U8 kids. U10 and up will play either in Cloverdale, Healdsburg or Windsor and these games are scheduled by the Windsor Youth Soccer League. We will distribute all schedules once we have them

This year is also challenging due to COVID 19. The Cloverdale Youth Soccer League acknowledges and recognizes that our players and their families have their own unique medical and health situations. Players wearing or not wearing face coverings will be treated equally and with the utmost respect. The CYSL will be following Sonoma County and State of California guidelines when it comes to COVID recommendations, and it is possible that these requirements will change throughout the course of the season. If at any point in the season you feel uncomfortable about your child or family’s safety, please reach out to any board member for support.

Again, thank you for your patience. It may be a challenging soccer year but we’re sure that it will be a lot of fun.

Last, we are still in need of 1x U8 Coach and 1x U14 Boys Coach, as well as referees (paid position!).
